This weekend Augusta University and AU Health will help support two community health fairs.
On Saturday from 10 am to noon, AU Health and Asociacion Latina de Servicios del CSRA will play host to an annual community health fair at the AU Family Medicine Clinic at 1447 Harper St., according to a news release.
Doctors and residents at the Medical College of Georgia will provide health screenings ranging from school physicals to pap smears, HIV testing, vision and dental exams, and more. Translators will be available as well.
Also on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm will be the Spring Into Health Community Fair at First Mount Carmel Baptist Church at 6269 Cobbham Rd., Appling. The fair is a collaboration between Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, First Mount Carmel, Augusta University and the CHEST Foundation.
The fair will offer free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, vision and hearing, COPD alongside food, vendors and prizes.
